Service Description

Join D. Colin for the inaugural gathering of Off the Shelf: a d.colin.ized experience, beginning with a powerful and necessary text: Assata: An Autobiography by Assata Shakur At a time when liberation stories are silenced, erased, or politicized out of classrooms, we are choosing to study them in community. Here's what to expect: Main Session – Open to All (60 minutes total) including 20-minute lecture led by D. Colin, grounded in historical context, personal research, and Africana Studies 30-minute Q&A and group discussion to unpack the text, ask questions, and reflect collectively 5–10 minute transition + info about continued study on Patreon Affinity Group Session – For BIPOC Women Only (30 minutes) A protected space for dialogue, reflection, and creative processing led with a healing-centered, community-care approach, no lecture — just shared voice, presence, and guided conversation Continue the Work on Patreon (patreon.com/dcolin) Those who want deeper engagement can join the Shelfies tier on Patreon, which includes: Automatic access to the Zoom link each month Audio playback of the lecture Extended Q&A content Downloadable notes and discussion guide This series is an offering of study-as-resistance, memory work, and shared liberation. You’re invited—bring your copy, your questions, and your voice.
